As I gear up for my sixth annual Komen Greater NYC Race for the Cure on Sunday, September 9th, I hope to, once again, have your support!
My favorite part of the walk is seeing so many people come together to raise awareness about the fight against breast cancer. However, with each passing year bringing the news of new diagnoses of breast cancer amongst my family, friends and industry colleagues, I feel even more urgency to support this cause. I know I am not alone in the feeling of alarm at how common this disease is and closely it touches us all.
Happily, this year was a story of fighting and surviving with my two friends diagnosed recently. I will be walking for them as well friends and family diagnosed in previous years who are, thankfully, still thriving. Of course, I can never forget Cynthia Vijverberg who lost her fight five years ago.
The money we raise on this day delivers food to women in treatment, offers transportation to chemo, and provides screenings. It also helps fund more research and find the cures.
I need your support… We all need your support. Please give generously, every dollar counts! Let’s race towards one goal: no one should die from breast cancer.
Join me, and together, we WILL create more survivors!
