Michele Owen Black
Michele was the consumate cancer patient - volunteering for research studies, managing chemo side effects with humor, aggressively checking off her bucket list, and, ultimately, donating her body for cancer research. Michele played her part in helping future breast cancer patients survive.
On Sunday, September 9th, I will play my role by joining HelmsBriscoe's HB Cares Team - along with eleven thousand others - to participate in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure in New York City. Michele, ever the cheerleader, will undoubtedly be cheering us all on from above.
Collectively, we will be raising money for breast cancer screenings, breast cancer research, breast cancer cures and services for breast cancer patients. Every dollar counts as we race toward one goal: no one should die from breast cancer. Please donate today and together we will create more survivors.
