In less than a year, I have learned that two beautiful women in my life have been diagnosed with breast cancer. Healthy, fit, young, no family history ... how did this happen? While we are still coming to terms with the diagnosis, treatment, and surgeries, we are not sitting quietly. Please join me as I offer my love, time, and support for EF and Dr. B, and walk/run with countless others fighting the good fight. I have been actively involved in the colon cancer fight for over a decade in memory of my grandmother, do oral cancer screenings on a daily basis in my profession, and now I join one of the biggest movements to put an end to breast cancer. xo
Over ten thousand New Yorkers will join over a thousand breast cancer survivors in Central Park on Sunday, September 9, 2018 for the Komen Greater NYC Race for the Cure. I’ll be there to run breast cancer out of town!
The Race is one day a year, but for women and families dealing with breast cancer, the fight is every day. Finding a cure is an ongoing effort.
Year by year, story by story, and dollar by dollar, the efforts of fundraisers save lives. We help tens of thousands of New Yorkers. The money we raise delivers food to women in treatment, offers transportation to chemo, and provides screenings. It also helps fund more research, reduce disparities, and find the cures.
I need your support… We all need your support. Please give generously, every dollar counts! Let’s race towards one goal: no one should die from breast cancer.
Join me, and together, we WILL create more survivors!
